A 26-year-old man from eastern New York was charged with DWI after a traffic stop in Sherman. Chautauqua County Sheriff's officers pulled over a vehicle for multiple traffic violations on East Street at about 2:15 AM Saturday. Deputies say the driver, 26-year-old Christopher Wassink of Fort Hunter, was intoxicated. Wassink was issued citations for DWI, failure to signal a turn, and moving from lane unsafely, and will appear in Sherman Town Court at a later date.
