A Westfield man is facing several charges following a traffic stop Saturday evening in the Town of Ellery. Chautauqua County Sheriff's officers saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed out of Long Point State Park at about 9:00 PM. Deputies say the driver, 49-year-old Richard Schroeder, was found to be intoxicated. Schroeder was charged with DWI, reckless driving, speed in zone, and speed not reasonable and prudent. He is scheduled to appear in Ellery Town Court at a later date.
