Two Jamestown area residents are facing charges following separate welfare fraud investigations. 22 year old Dayanara Robles-Rodriguez was issued appearance tickets for offering a false instrument for filing, a felony charge, and welfare fraud in the 5th degree. It is alleged that on July 6, 2015 Robles-Rodriguez filed an application with the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services that contained false information regarding income within her household. In another case, Bryan Martinez-Reyes was issued appearance tickets for petit larceny and misuse of food stamps. It is alleged that from July 1 to August 31, 2015 Martinez-Reyes failed to notify the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services that he had income/employment while receiving SNAP/food stamp benefits. The unreported income allowed for Martinez-Reyes to receive $537 in unentitled benefits. Both Martinez-Reyes and Robles-Rodriguez are scheduled to appear in the City of Jamestown at a later date.
