A motorcyclist from Depew is facing a handful of charges, including DWI, following a traffic stop early Sunday morning in the Town of Sheridan. At about 12:15 AM, Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies pulled over 49-year-old Todd Penman on Route 5 for observed traffic infractions that occurred on Central Avenue in Silver Creek. Upon further investigation, Penman was allegedly found to be operating his motorcycle while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, speeding, and driving across hazard markings, and is scheduled to appear in Silver Creek Village Court at a later date.
