A Fredonia man is facing a handful of charges after he was allegedly found driving with a suspended license in Ripley. County sheriff's deputies pulled over a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Travis Rice on Route 5 shortly after 8:30 PM Tuesday. Officers also allegedly found a controlled substance in his vehicle. Rice was arraigned in Ripley Village Court on charges of 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 2nd-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, uninspected motor vehicle, speeding in a 55 MPH zone, and unregistered motor vehicle. He was then remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $3,000 cash bail.
