A Bemus Point man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop Thursday night in the Jamestown area. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies pulled over a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Jeremy Shepherd for a traffic violation on Alleghany Avenue in Celoron at about 10:45 PM. Further investigation revealed that Shepherd was allegedly in possession of a quantity of marijuana and multiple narcotic pills. Shepherd was charged with 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and failure to signal a turn. He will released with citations and will appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date.
