A Russell, Pennsylvania man faces several charges following a traffic stop early Saturday morning in the Town of Pomfret. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies pulled over a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Gregory McDannel for a traffic infraction on Route 60 at about 2:15 AM. Deputies found that McDannel did not have a driver's license and that there were improper plates on his vehicle. He was charged with insufficient tail lamp, unlicensed operation, unregistered motor vehicle, improper plates, and operating without insurance. McDannel was additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after he was allegedly found to have a small quantity of pot. He will answer the charges in Pomfret Town Court at a later date.
