A major dredging project will get underway at Barcelona Harbor soon in order to improve the infrastructure and safety of the harbor. Congressman Tom Reed made a stop at Barcelona Harbor on Monday and joined several area leaders, including Assemblyman Andrew Goodell, in unveiling the project. Reed says the dredging project means that "local jobs, recreation, tourism, and overall quality of life will not only be maintained, but improved." He says the dredging will reduce flood risks and mitigate threats to public safety with infrastructure improvements.
