No verdict has been reached yet in the Jason Wells murder case. On Friday in Mayville, jurors spent seven hours behind closed doors deliberating whether the 37-year-old Wells intentionally killed 81-year-old Ruth Fisk in Feburary 2010 in Fredonia. According to the Observer, jurors have to consider whether Wells is not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect, guilty of 1st-degree manslaughter due to extreme emotional disturbance at the time of the killing, or guilty of 2nd-degree murder as charged in the indictment. Deliberations will continue Monday morning.
