A fairly dry week help to draw a lot of people to the Chautauqua County Fair. That's what the preliminary numbers show fair organizers. County Fair spokesman Mike Ferguson says the final numbers are not in, but early indications appear the 2014 edition did well.

Ferguson says motor sports did extremely well including a sold out demolition derby last evening. He says the board will be evaluating the results this week.

Except, that the fair lasts only seven days according to Ferguson. The next big event in Chautauqua County...the opening of the Gerry Rodeo on Wednesday.
