Authorities are investigating the discovery of possible human remains that were found on Thursday on the Lake Erie shoreline in Lake Erie State Park in the Town of Portland. New York State Police say they received a 911 call about the remains around 2:25 pm yesterday afternoon. Troopers say the remains were transported to the Erie County Medical Center for confirmation following examination by the Erie County Medical Examiner. The State Police are continuing the investigation and are being assisted by the State Park Police.
