Jamestown Airport Fields to be Renamed in Honor of Robert H. Jackson

A ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 4th on the official renaming of the field at the Chautauqua County Airport near Jamestown after the late US Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson. County Executive Vince Horrigan will preside over the ceremony. He says the terminal was previously dedicated in Jackson's honor in 1973; now the airport's runways and surrounding grounds will also be named in his honor...

Horrigan says there's a third part to the October 4th program -- the official welcome of Sun Air Express as the county's new air carrier. Silver Airways had announced it would be ending air service at the airport earlier this year. It has continued service to and from Cleveland during the interim period.
