Chautauqua County Executive Vince Horrigan will be presenting his first tentative budget as county executive when the County Legislature meets in Mayville on Wednesday evening. Earlier this month, Horrigan indicated that he was putting together a spending plan that would help build the county's economy.

Horrigan says the sale of the county home will result in additional fund balance that should help reduce a projected deficit, but he warned it would be a one time deal. Once Horrigan presents his budget, the county legislature will begin a review of the spending plan that will include meetings with department heads. A final budget for 2015 must be approved on or before December 1st.
