Dunkirk city lawmakers will begin the task of reviewing Mayor A.J. Dolce's proposed 2015 city budget. While the budget calls for no change in the tax rate, it does include a proposed $4 per month increase in water bills for city rate-payers. First Ward Councilman Mike Michalski says the council will look for other alternatives to raising water rates.

Michalski says council plans to meet with department heads in the weeks to come to discuss revenues and expenditures. The Common Council has a public hearing on the budget for November 4th.
