Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced nearly $40 million in grants for local and regional projects aimed at improving water quality and reducing polluted runoff. Nearly $5 million in grants were announced for Western New York and six projects in the Chautauqua Lake watershed will receive about a half million in funding, including $180,000 for the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer District and $100,000 for the village of Lakewood.
