Fredonia Police are investigating armed home invasion

Fredonia Police are investigating a report of an armed home invasion that occurred late Wednesday evening at an apartment located in the 200 block of Temple Street.  Police officials say two of the victims, a tenant and his friend, were sitting in the living room of the apartment when three Hispanic males entered through an unlocked apartment door around 11 pm.  The suspects were wearing dark colored hoodies with the hoods up and bandannas around their faces.  One of the suspects was armed with a shot gun while another had a handgun.  The suspects held the two victims at bay for a short time while they searched and ransacked the apartment.  An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from one of the victims' bedrooms.  The suspects then forced entry into the padlocked bedroom of a third victim, who was away at the time of the incident. The suspects then fled the scene.  Police say the two victims told them they had loaded several of their own valuables into a vehicle belonging to one of the victims for safekeeping.  The third victim had apparently returned to the apartment after officers had reached the scene and told them that nothing was taken from his room.  However, police officials say the suspects left behind several pieces of drug paraphernalia and drug packaging material in the room. Fredonia Police are continuing to investigate.  Anyone with information about the incident should call Fredonia Police at 679-1531.
