Lake effect bands will move south later today and tonight

Lake effect snow continues to fall across parts of Western New York.  There may be a slight lull in the action across parts of the North County, but more snow is on the way. Meteorologist John Hitchcock of the National Weather Service says the band of snow will heading south later today.

Snow is already adding up since the latest round of lake effect began late last night...about 15 to 20 inches in the city of Dunkirk and nearly 19 to 20 inches in the village of Silver Creek. Silver Creek Mayor Nick Piccolo says the travel ban remains in effect.
