A Brocton man with two prior DWI convictions is in custody for allegedly driving while drunk in Fredonia. State Police responded to a vehicle off the roadway on Ellicott Road just before 1:00 AM Friday. Troopers say 47-year-old James Schroeder, Jr. was intoxicated and refused a breath test. Police tell WDOE News that Schroeder was convicted for drunk driving in 2013 and 2009. Schroeder was arraigned in Pomfret Town Court and remanded to the county jail on charges of felony DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, and no interlock device.
