A man from the Elmira area who was convicted of murdering a town of Carroll couple will spend at least 50 years in prison. Chautauqua County Court Judge John Ward today sentenced Davide Coggins to 50 years to life. A jury found him guilty last November of two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Joyce and Gordon Skinner in their home in April 2013. Three other men were sentenced in January for manslaughter for their involvement in the double homicide.
