A Fredonia man is jailed on $2,000 bail for allegedly stalking someone in the village Thursday morning. A female told Fredonia Police that while she was driving her vehicle, a car was following behind her, making every turn she made for several miles. She then contacted a friend and explained what was happening. The victim eventually stopped at the friend's residence, and the other vehicle parked there as well. Fredonia Police arrived at the residence and saw a white male, identified as 35-year-old Lewis Campbell, Jr., sitting behind the wheel of the suspect vehicle. An investigation revealed that Campbell and the female victim had never met each other. Officers also found that Campbell was allegedly in possession of an electronic stun gun. Campbell was arraigned in Fredonia Village Court on charges of 4th-degree stalking and 4th-degree criminal possession of a weapon, then remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
