A Dunkirk man was arrested on Friday after drugs were found inside his vehicle and residence. Members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and Dunkirk Police pulled over 40-year-old Charles Fredrick on Main Street shortly before 3:30 PM and executed a search warrant for his vehicle. Authorities seized about one ounce of cocaine, a large amount of cash, a scale for weighing narcotics, a quantity of marijuana, and a late model vehicle. As a result of that seizure, another search warrant was obtained from Pomfret Town Court for Fredrick's home at 124 Ruggles Street, where a quantity of marijuana and cash was seized. Fredrick is facing two counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and additional charges will be filed. He is being held in the Dunkirk City Jail and will be remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.
