Authorities in Cattaraugus County confirm that Salamanca Police have had four individual drug overdoses from a substance believe to be a very potent derivative of Heroin. One of the overdoses resulted in the death of the person. The other three people were saved by the use of Narcan which counters the deadly effects of a Heroin overdose. Salamanca Police are working with the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force on tracking down the source of the killer drug.
