A Sherman man was arrested Friday afternoon after he was found driving his ATV while drunk. Around 5:30 PM, Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies saw a man on an ATV on Park Street in the Village of Sherman, wearing no helmet and having no registration on the ATV. Officers stopped the ATV, and an investigation found that the operator, 40-year-old Edwin Hannold, Jr. was intoxicated. Records revealed that Hannold had two prior DWI convictions, and that his driving privileges in New York State had been revoked due to past DWI incidents. Hannold was arraigned in Sherman Town Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail. He has been charged with felony DWI, 1st-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and several other traffic violations.
