Two people have been arrested in Jamestown during a search for a stabbing suspect. Jamestown Police went to a home at 114 West 7th Street around 10:30 AM Wednesday. While speaking with the residents, a man tried to flee through an apartment window, but then saw police and went back inside and refused to come out. During the investigation, 24-year-old Ernest Cauley, Jr. of Jamestown was arrested for 2nd-degree assault, obstruction, and a parole violation. Officers then cleared the residence and found 28-year-old Joshua McKinney (pictured) of Brooklyn in a closet under a pile of clothes. Officers ordered McKinney to come out, but failed to do so. McKinney, who was wanted in connection with an assault that occurred on August 7th, was arrested without further incident and charged with 2nd-degree assault and obstruction. He was also found to be wanted out of New York City for a parole violation. Both Cauley and McKinney were transported to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
