DiNapoli Impressed with State-Funded Projects in Downtown Jamestown

New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli made a stop in Jamestown on Friday and toured many downtown locations from city hall to the site for the National Comedy Center. DiNapoli says was particularly impressed with the emphasis on residential development in the downtown sector. Thomas DiNapoli: replicating success
As New York's chief fiscal officer, DiNapoli sees the state as "doing better," but acknowledges many municipalities are squeezed by pension costs and the tax cap. If the economy continues to improve, he says the state legislature should look at an increase in Aid and Incentives to Municipalities, the state's revenue sharing program for local governments. DiNapoli also spoke at an event later that evening at the First Ward Falcon Club in Dunkirk.
