Jamestown Police are investigating two separate hold-ups that occurred early this morning involving 7-Eleven stores. The robberies may have involved the same suspect. Police say the first robbery occurred shortly after 2 am at the 7-Eleven at 1011 East 2nd Street. After threatening the clerk, an unknown black male demanded and received a small amount cash before fleeing the store on foot. At about 3:30 am, police believe the same suspect made similar threats at the 7-Eleven at 518 North Main Street and made off with some cash. The suspect was last seen heading south on Stillers Alley on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male with light complexion wearing a black heavy winter coat with a fur lined hood. He was wearing black baggy pants, possibly sweatpants and white sneakers with a black stripe. The suspect is believed to have a thin mustache.
