Drug probe nets two arrests after discovery of Meth lab in Gowanda

An ongoing investigation into illegal drug sales in the village of Gowanda led to two arrests on Thursday.  Members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, Gowanda Police, Cattaraugus County Sheriff's deputies and State Police CNET executed two search warrants at 42 Commercial Street where they discovered an active meth lab.  Residents of the building were evacuated until the lab could be safely and properly dismantled.  44-year-old Alissa Jones and 53-year-old James Korbar were arrested on one count each of unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the 3rd degree.  Investigators say further charges are pending.
