Tonawanda woman ticketed in town of Ellicott crash

A Buffalo area woman has been given a traffic ticket after a two-vehicle crash on North Main Street Extension in the town of Ellicott Wednesday afternoon.  Ellicott Town Police say the crash occurred around 3 pm when a northbound vehicle had slowed to make a left turn into a driveway.  Officers say the driver of the second vehicle, 57-year-old Maureen Weir of Tonawanda, apparently did not see a car in front of her slowing until it was too late.  The impact pushed the first vehicle into a house at 3140 Route 60.  Both drivers signed off on medical care according to officers who say no other injuries were reported.  Weir was charged with speed not reasonable and prudent.
