Chautauqua County Announces Free Rabies Immunization Clinics

The Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services has announced a series of six free animal rabies immunization clinics for this year. The first one will be held at the Town of Westfield Highway Building at 118 Chestnut Street in Westfield on Saturday, May 14th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Environmental Health Director Mark Stow says it is very important for pet owners to have their animals vaccinated because if an unvaccinated animal is infected with rabies, that animal will die...

All domesticated dogs, cats, and ferrets over four months of age are required by state law to get rabies vaccinations.
