Rosas Disappointed in Fredonia's Decision to No Longer Pursue Combined Police Facility

The top elected official in the City of Dunkirk is disappointed that Fredonia village officials will no longer be pursuing a combined police facility with the city. Mayor Willie Rosas says he believes such a project would benefit both communities and that they had a potential site in mind.  He tells WDOE News that they were looking at a location near the Fredonia village line for that potential combined facility...

Fredonia trustees and Mayor Athanasia Landis discussed the issue during a workshop Tuesday night and determined that having a combined policey facility will be too costly. She cited concerns that include finances, quality of service, and salaries and benefit differentials between the two police departments.
