Firefighters in Jamestown made quick work of a fire that broke out in the kitchen area of a second-floor apartment early Tuesday morning. Fire officials say crews were called out to 84 Victoria Avenue around 1:30 AM. They were able to douse the flames in about 15 minutes. No injuries were reported. The people living there were alerted by the downstairs tenants. The fire caused only minor damage to a wall, and the cause was reportedly electrical in nature.
