The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an air quality alert for most of Western New York, including Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties, from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM Wednesday. David Thomas with the National Weather Service in Buffalo says the alert will be for increased levels of ozone.
