County lawmakers to decide on local law dealing with sparklers

Chautauqua County lawmakers will be considering a local law that will allow the sale and use of sparkling devices in the county. The County Legislature will take up the proposal during it's monthly session tonight in Mayville. It appears that four legislators from the North County area will be backing the legislation including Silver Creek's George Borrello. Dunkirk area Legislators Bob Bankoski and Kevin Muldowney, who also appeared on Viewpoint, indicated that they were on board. And WDOE News received an email from Legislator Mark Odell from District 7 who says he also supports the legislation. The County Legislature meeting gets underway at 6:30 pm in the Legislative Chambers in the Gerace Office Building.
