Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Wednesday the launch of an aggressive public awareness campaign to educate New Yorkers on the dangers of the Zika Virus. It's part of a six-step action plan the state is implementing in combating Zika. More than 7,000 larvicide tablets have been distributed to eliminate the mosquitoes that potentially carry the virus. All 62 counties across the state have received approval from the State Department of Health on local Zika action plans.
