One person was killed, and another seriously injured in a one vehicle crash at the intersection of Buffalo Street Extension and Willard Street Extension in the town of Ellicott late Saturday night. Ellicott Town Police say that 42-year-old Mark Myers of Jamestown was driving a vehicle on Buffalo Street Extension when he lost control of it. The vehicle slammed into a tree at the intersection with Willard Street Extension. Myer's passenger, 49-year-old Debra Wigren, was pronounced dead at the scene. Myers was flown by Starflight to Hamot Medical Center in Erie. He was later transported to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh for further treatment. There are reports that the vehicle involved was a 1968 Chevy Camero. The Sheriff's Department Accident Recontruction Team is now investigating.
