First responders were called out to a report that a swimmer off the beach near Lake Avenue in Silver Creek was in distress on Wednesday. But, as the Observer reports, the swimmer was located about an hour later safe and sound. Silver Creek firefighters received the call around 6 pm. The County Sheriff's Office, Sunset Bay firefighters and the Lake Erie Beach Water Rescue Squad also responded, but the swimmer, a male teen, was located at home with his parents.
