A Celoron man is facing several charges after a report of disorderly persons on Dunham Avenue in the village of Celoron late last night. After reaching the scene, Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies attempted to take 35-year-old Michael Newman into custody. Instead, Newman fled the scene on foot into a wooded area. After a short foot pursuit, deputies were able to take Newman into custody. He has been charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration. Newman also faces charges from Ellicott Town Police.
