A Jamestown man is facing DWAI and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in the town of Stockton last night. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies say they stopped 27-year-old Joshua Bates on the Hartfield-Stockton Road and alleged that he had been impaired by the combination of drugs and alcohol. A record check found Bates to have a previous conviction for DWI within the last ten years, making the arrest a felony. He'll appear in Stockton Town Court at a later date.
