A South Carolina man is also facing DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation charges following a traffic stop on Merz Avenue in the village of Bemus Point shortly after midnight on Friday. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies say they pulled over 69-year-old John Bloomquist for failure to use the vehicle's turn signal. Further investigation determined that he was allegedly intoxicated. Deputies also determined that Bloomquist had his New York State driving privileges suspended.
