A Dunkirk man has been charged with unlawful surveillance after he had allegedly placed a recording device in a woman's restroom. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies say they received a report of a recording device being placed in the restroom at a location on Bennett State Road in the town of Hanover this morning. Deputies say the victim had located the device, a phone, and that 29-year-old Erick Burgos had allegedly attempted to retrieve it from the victim after she had made the discovery. Deputies believe there were no other victims involved. Burgos has been charged with unlawful surveillance in the 2nd degree, a class E felony and will appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
