Petition for Second Forestville Dissolution Vote Receives Enough Signatures

It appears that there could be a second vote by Forestville residents on whether or not to dissolve the village. Chautauqua County Election Commissioner Norm Green says the Board of Elections has reviewed a petition they received from the village on Thursday. Green tells WDOE News that the petition received a total of 130 valid signatures, which is more than the required number to get another vote to a ballot...

WDOE New reached Village Attorney Mike Sullivan who confirms that the village board will have to take action to get the question on the ballot. He says the board will likely hold a special meeting next week. Last November, Forestville residents voted 137-97 to dissolve the village.
