The Democratic candidate running for the 23rd Congressional District attended Labor Day festivities held in Jamestown and Rushford in Allegany County. John Plumb, a commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve, attended the Jamestown event on Sunday and marched in the Rushford Labor Day festival on Monday. Plumb, who is challenging incumbent Republican Tom Reed, says both local events were an opportunity to "reflect on the importance" of looking after workers in the Southern Tier and Western New York. He recently received the endorsement of the New York State AFL-CIO.
