Chautauqua County's representative in the House is among those who voted in favor of a bill to avert a federal government shutdown in October and approved $1.1 billion in Zika funding. Congressman Tom Reed, who voted in favor of the stop-gap funding bill, says it includes about $37 million in funding to implement programs in the Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Reduction Act or CARA. The proposal funds government operations through December 9. The bill passed 342-85 in the House.
