A portion of Interstate 86 in the Town of Ellery was closed for about an hour late Friday afternoon after a vehicle went off the highway. According to State Police in Jamestown, 23-year-old Brandon Hotchkiss of Jamestown had apparently suffered a medical condition when he veered off the westbound lane near Exit 11 at about 4:00 PM. Hotchkiss was found unresponsive and was flown by Starflight to the Hamot Medical Center in Erie. Police say I-86 was closed so that the Starflight helicopter could land.
