The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency recently received two awards from the New York State Economic Development Council for leadership and excellence in economic development marketing. The CCIDA earned the 2017 Rural Project of the Year Award for its leadership in recruiting and directing the LECOM Health Challenge to Peek 'n Peak. The LECOM Health Challenge joined the PGA's Web.com Tour schedule in 2016 attracted PGA hopefuls, raised over $100,000 for charity, and drew more than 20,000 spectators. The CCIDA was also recognized as a 2017 Marketing, Literature and Promotion Award winner for its annual report, On the Move. The report provided a status update on past, current, and proposed projects and focuses in areas of industry, tourism, improving natural resources, education, health care, community support, and several business success stories realized throughout the year.
