A union that represents about 160 workers at Brooks Memorial Hospital has announced that it has ratified a new contract with the hospital in Dunkirk. On Monday, 1199SEIU members at Brooks ratified a new collective bargaining agreement that will increase wages, provide additional training to caregivers and improve security for workers in their jobs and in retirement. The bargaining unit includes Registered Nurses, PCA's, LPNs, Lab, Radiology, and Ultrasound mammography Technicians, Maintenance Mechanics, Food Service Attendants, Environmental Services and others.
