A Fredonia woman escaped injury after her vehicle got struck by a train in the Town of Pomfret on Saturday. According to Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies, 20-year-old Kayla Boedner allegedly moved a road closed barrier and attempted to cross the CSX tracks on Berry Road at about 5:15 PM, when her vehicle became stuck. No one was injured, but Boedner was issued a ticket for failure to obey a traffic control device.
