A complaint of an erratic driver in the south county on Saturday led to a Jamestown man getting charged with drunk driving under Leandra's Law. State Police responded to the complaint and pulled over the suspect vehicle on Buffalo Street Extension in the Town of Ellicott after seeing similar violations. Troopers say 37-year-old Jason Green, who had two children in his vehicle, failed several field sobriety tests and registered a blood alcohol content of .15%, nearly twice the legal limit. Green was charged with aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Sherman Town Court and released on his own recognizance, and is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court to answer the charges. The children were turned over to a relative at the scene.
