Rosas delivers annual State of the City address

Dunkirk Mayor Wilfred Rosas spoke about the past year and took a look ahead to 2018 when he delivered his State of City message before a capacity crowd Friday afternoon at Dunkirk City Hall. One of the top priorities includes a major challenge...to get an international company to expand its operations in Dunkirk. Rosas says the $30 million project involves Special Metals and if successful would mean more jobs...

Among the other goals for the mayor, the need to work with surrounding communities through shared services. Rosas is taking up a challenge that Governor Andrew Cuomo made recently in his budget message...

Rosas-Continues to work on shared services 

Rosas also spoke about the many festivals and other activities that took place in the city during 2017, including a two-hour long air show. Rosas announced there will not be another air show in 2018, but indicated there are plans for something much bigger. He did not elaborate, except to say "stay tuned."
