A three-vehicle crash on Route 20 at New Road in the Town of Sheridan on Tuesday sent one person to an area hospital for treatment. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies say that 62-year-old David Beck of Cattaraugus was operating a dump truck on Route 20 at about 9:30 AM, when he collided with another vehicle driven by 55-year-old Richard Lantz of Jamestown, who had stopped in traffic. A third vehicle, driven by 60-year-old John Walker of Falconer, attempted to avoid the collision and instead struck the dump truck. Lantz was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
